Sportspress.be looks after the interests of Belgian sports journalists. It serves professional sportswriters and photographers, but also casual contributors. The association tries to ensure sound working conditions for its members at sporting events. In order to achieve this, Sportspress.be regularly meets with the Belgian Professional Football League, the Royal Belgian Football Association, the Belgian Olympic Committee and others.

The board of Sportspress.be is elected nationally. The association incorporates two subsections: VBS (Flemish Association of Sportswriters) and APFJS (Association of Professional French speaking Sportswriters).

Every year, the professional members of Sportspress.be elect the Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year. The winners receive their trophy during the annual Sports Gala, which is hosted in partnership with Golazo sports en VRT Sporza.

The UEPS headquarters are located in the Sportspress.be office. The UEPS (Union Européenne de la Presse Sportive) is the European continental branch of the world association AIPS.
